    Material Composition and Advantages

Flame-retardant polypropylene: It boasts excellent chemical stability and mechanical properties, with a smooth surface. White flame-retardant polypropylene with a thickness of up to 30 microns not only effectively inhibits flame spread and meets the relevant flame-retardant standards, but also offers a certain degree of resistance to chemical corrosion, thereby protecting the underlying structure. For instance, in industrial environments with fire-protection requirements, it can effectively reduce the risk of fire.
70 gsm flame-retardant kraft paper: characterized by a tough, durable texture and moderate flexibility. Its 70 gsm basis weight provides excellent strength, enhancing the overall toughness and stability of composite structures. In addition, the flame-retardant kraft paper offers inherent flame-retardant properties that, when combined with flame-retardant polypropylene, further elevate the product’s fire safety rating.
Reinforcement with a three-dimensional glass-fiber mesh: A three-dimensional glass-fiber mesh consisting of 20 fibers per 100 millimeters in the longitudinal direction and 16 fibers per 100 millimeters in the diagonal direction is used as a reinforcing element, significantly enhancing the product’s tensile strength and tear resistance. Under external forces such as pulling or impact, this reinforcement effectively disperses stress, preventing damage and cracking and ensuring the structural integrity of the product.

    Characteristics of Composite Structures

A four-layer composite structure is employed, with a flame-retardant adhesive used as the bonding agent to firmly bond each layer together. This composite approach leverages the respective advantages of each material layer and, through synergistic interactions among the different materials, achieves a “1 + 1 > 2” effect. For example, in humid environments, the flame-retardant polypropylene barrier prevents external moisture from penetrating, while the flame-retardant kraft paper on the interior side inhibits internal vapor permeation; meanwhile, the reinforced stiffening ribs maintain structural stability, thereby preventing deformation caused by moisture absorption.

    Physical Performance

Weight: 110 grams per square meter, making it relatively lightweight and ensuring that it does not impose excessive load on the supporting structure during installation and use, thereby facilitating construction and handling.
Water vapor transmission rate: Measured according to ASTM E96 Procedure A, the value is only 1.15 ng/N·s, demonstrating excellent moisture-barrier performance and effectively preventing water vapor penetration. This makes it suitable for use in high-humidity environments such as basements and swimming pools.
Puncture resistance: Tested in accordance with Appendix A of JC/T 2028–2018, the material achieves a puncture resistance of 180 N, demonstrating strong resistance to external forces and the ability to withstand substantial pressure and impact.
Tensile Strength: Tested in accordance with ASTM C1136, the longitudinal tensile strength is 7.1 kN/m and the transverse tensile strength is 7.0 kN/m, enabling the product to withstand tensile forces in multiple directions and ensuring it remains resistant to tensile damage during use.
Thickness: Measured at 0.23 mm using a micrometer, the thickness is moderate—providing optimal performance without excessive bulk.
Fire resistance rating: Complies with GB 8624-2012 and meets the B1 grade, classifying it as a flame-retardant material. It can effectively slow the spread of fire in the event of a blaze, thereby buying valuable time for evacuation and firefighting rescue operations.

    Application Scenarios

Construction sector: It can be used on building roofs, walls, and other components as a layer of waterproofing, fireproofing, and thermal insulation. It holds broad application potential in industrial plants, commercial buildings, and public structures, such as ceiling systems in shopping malls and exterior walls in factory buildings.
Packaging applications: For packaging products that require fire resistance and moisture protection—such as electronic equipment and flammable chemicals—this composite material can be used to both safeguard the product from external environmental factors and enhance safety during transportation and storage.
Industrial protection applications: In industrial settings with stringent requirements for fire resistance, moisture resistance, and structural strength—such as chemical processing plants and cold storage facilities—this material can be used as a protective coating for equipment and as an external insulation layer for pipelines, thereby ensuring the reliable operation of equipment and piping systems.
