    Core Material Composition

    Double-sided aluminum foil layer: High-purity metallic aluminum foil (typically 6–50 μm thick) serves as the core functional layer. Its double-sided design enables simultaneous reflection of thermal radiation and barrier protection against water vapor from both sides, delivering superior protective and thermal-insulation performance compared with single-sided aluminum foil.
    Reinforcement layer: The grid-like structure, typically made of glass fiber or PP (polypropylene) fibers and often featuring a three-way cross design, serves as the material’s “skeleton,” significantly enhancing its overall tensile strength and tear resistance while preventing deformation under load or damage during installation.
    Adhesive and Support Layer: Some products incorporate a thin adhesive layer (such as an eco-friendly resin adhesive) between the reinforcing ribs and the aluminum foil to ensure tight structural bonding; in a small number of cases, the adhesive is laminated with a lightweight substrate (such as nonwoven fabric) to further enhance flexibility.

    Key Performance Features

    Thermal insulation and moisture resistance: Double-sided aluminum foil reflects more than 90% of thermal radiation, effectively blocking heat transfer in both directions; at the same time, it completely prevents the penetration of water vapor and moisture, thereby protecting the internal insulation layer from dampness and mold. It is ideal for high-humidity environments such as basements and pipelines.
    Excellent structural strength The grid structure of the reinforcing layer gives the material tensile and tear resistance far superior to that of ordinary aluminum foil, enabling it to withstand certain external impacts, reducing the likelihood of damage during installation, and resisting aging and deformation over long-term use.
    Weather Resistance and Safety: After undergoing salt spray, high–low temperature, and damp heat tests, the products demonstrate stable performance and can adapt to complex outdoor and underground environments. Certain models have undergone flame-retardant treatment, achieving a fire resistance rating of B1 and thereby reducing fire risk.

    Main Application Areas

    Building thermal insulation: When combined with glass wool, rock wool, extruded polystyrene boards, and other materials, it is used for thermal insulation of building walls, roofs, and suspended ceilings, particularly in areas with stringent moisture-proof requirements, such as the rainy regions of southern China.
    Pipe and equipment insulation: Applied as an outer insulation layer on HVAC ductwork, chilled and hot water piping, and industrial process pipelines, it provides bidirectional thermal insulation and condensation prevention, reducing energy loss and extending the service life of the piping.
    Packaging and Other: It can be used for thermal insulation packaging (such as cold-chain transport packaging) or as an insulating layer in greenhouses to enhance environmental temperature stability.
