    Wood-pulp paper with a pure aluminum honeycomb core and aluminum foil facing is a multi-layer composite functional material whose core serves to enhance thermal insulation, moisture resistance, and structural stability, making it widely used in thermal insulation applications such as building construction and piping systems.

    Core Material Composition

    Wood pulp paper layer: High-strength, all-wood-pulp kraft paper is typically used (common basis weights range from 50 to 70 g/m²), providing fundamental toughness and abrasion resistance to protect the internal structure while also offering a certain degree of tensile strength.
    Reinforcement layer: Typically constructed as a mesh-like structure made of glass fiber or polypropylene (PP) fibers—often featuring a triaxial cross-weave design—this framework serves as the material’s “skeleton.” Its primary function is to substantially enhance the material’s tensile and tear resistance, thereby preventing deformation or failure under load.
    Pure aluminum foil layer: Unlike aluminum-coated films, this product uses high-purity metallic aluminum foil (typically 6–50 μm thick) as the core functional layer, which offers excellent water vapor barrier properties and thermal reflectivity, effectively preventing moisture penetration and reflecting heat.

    Key Performance Features

    High-performance thermal insulation and moisture resistance: The pure aluminum foil layer reflects more than 90% of thermal radiation, thereby reducing heat transfer; at the same time, it completely blocks water vapor, preventing the insulation layer from becoming damp and losing effectiveness, making it suitable for high-humidity environments.
    High structural strength: The grid structure of the reinforcement layer significantly enhances the material’s tensile and tear resistance, making it less prone to damage during installation and capable of withstanding certain external impacts, thereby extending its service life.
    Safety and Weather Resistance: Some products undergo flame-retardant treatment (using flame-retardant wood-pulp paper and composite adhesives), achieving a fire-resistance rating of B1. Following salt-spray and damp-heat tests, their performance remains stable, enabling long-term use under various climatic conditions.

    Main Application Areas

    Building thermal insulation: When combined with thermal insulation materials such as glass wool, rock wool, and extruded polystyrene boards, it is used for thermal insulation of building walls, roofs, and suspended ceilings, thereby enhancing the energy efficiency of buildings.
    Pipe and equipment insulation: Applied as an outer layer to HVAC ductwork, chilled and hot water piping, and industrial process pipelines, it provides thermal insulation and condensation prevention, thereby reducing energy losses.
