FFRA-3310 Long-Lasting Water-Resistant Flame-Retardant Polypropylene Veneer

FFR long-lasting, water-resistant, flame-retardant polypropylene facing boasts an extremely low water vapor permeability, acting like a dense shield to effectively prevent moisture from penetrating the insulation layer. This ensures that insulation materials—such as glass wool and rock wool—maintain stable energy-saving and thermal-insulation performance over the long term, thereby extending the service life of the building’s thermal insulation system.

  • Product Introduction

FFR long-lasting water-resistant and flame-retardant polypropylene facing is a composite facing material based on polypropylene, engineered to deliver durable water resistance and flame retardancy. It is commonly used as the outer protective layer for thermal insulation products and plays a critical role in construction, HVAC, and other related fields.

FFR long-lasting, water-resistant, flame-retardant polypropylene veneer, specifically engineered to meet fire- and moisture-protection requirements in harsh environments. Manufactured in accordance with the JC/T 2028–2018 standard, it is modified with a water-resistant flame retardant and features a molecular-level structural optimization that ensures the flame-retardant components remain firmly embedded—without leaching or loss—even after multiple washes or prolonged exposure to humid conditions. As a result, the material consistently maintains an oxygen index of ≥26%, effectively addressing the common issue of sharply reduced fire performance in conventional flame-retardant veneers when exposed to water.

In terms of material composition, FFR facings typically use polypropylene as the base substrate, reinforced with a triaxial glass-fiber mesh and a polyester grid arranged at 20 × 20 cm². This composite structure not only enhances tensile and tear resistance but also improves dimensional stability, enabling it to accommodate deformation during various complex construction and service conditions. The white metallized polypropylene film surface exhibits a soft, uniform white appearance that resists chalking and cracking, eliminates glare, and delivers both aesthetic appeal and durability. Moreover, its extremely low water-vapor permeability acts like a dense protective barrier, effectively preventing moisture from penetrating the insulation layer. This ensures that thermal insulation materials—such as glass wool and rock wool—maintain stable energy-saving performance over the long term, thereby extending the service life of the building’s thermal insulation system.
